DONATION Date

One of our dedicated partners, Ghana International Bank, donated over 2600 reading books for school children. These books serve over 5 mini-libraries in the rural deprived communities we work, including our very own library at our Youth Development Center which  also serve  children from 5 neighboring communities •Majority of our activities involve traveling and for this first quarter, Goil Ghana Ltd supported us with fuel to run our to run some of our activities.  •In a few weeks to come, we would be able to boast of Electricity at our Youth Development Center. This will save us the extremely high cost of fueling our generator which serves over 3000 children during our camps and programs. We would like to acknowledge FLORIAN OBERMEIER for making this happen

NNEKA SPEED MENTORING/ REVIEW SESSION Date

Creating a world that is truly fit for children does not only imply the absence of war, it implies the presence of opportunities for them to believe in themselves and be confident about their future. It also means letting them know the rights they are entitled to and having their parents take responsibilities as well. This, we seek to ensure through our Speed mentoring/Review program. We had a very fruitful month as our series of Speed Mentoring/Review programs reached 2061 children and 259 teachers, parents and community leaders. 37 communities from 4 districts/municipal(Ningo Prampram, north Tongu, Nkwanta and South Dayi) benefited tremendously from these sessions.

We empowered 30 women from Afienya, in the Ningo Prampram District of Greater Accra Region. It was a fulfilling day as women, wives, and mothers were empowered on the topic, "Being the Best Version of Me as a Woman."

HOHOE WOMEN EMPOWERMENT Date

Every time is a good time to interact with people who are dear to one's heart. Today, Nneka Youth Foundation found itself in Hohoe to interact with a group of women to enlighten them on their Responsibilities towards their children. They were also taken through basic business ideas and management. Stella, a widow and mother of 6 and Enyonam, a mother of 3 are good examples of women working hard to take care of their children and keep them in school. A very fulfilling day indeed!
